Join members of the Floating Bridge Food and Farm Cooperative for an afternoon of learning, eating, and shopping, Sunday, October 13th from 12pm – 4pm at the Brookfield Town Hall in Pond Village – a wonderful fall event for the whole family!
Local fresh produce, pasture-raised meats, pickles, cider and of course quality sweets including caramel, honey and maple syrup will be available as well as other great local products such as beeswax candles, and the new Vermont Farm Table Cookbook featuring Ariel’s Restaurant. In addition to providing quality local food, the Floating Bridge Food and Farms Cooperative is committed to engaging people in farm-based, food centered educational opportunities. At the October Market, experience Cider Pressing first hand and learn about creating your own local dried flower arrangements.
• 1pm & 3 pm Brookfield Bees will offer an Apple Cider Pressing Demonstration, cider will also be available for sale.
• 2pm Spruce Lane Farm will offer tips growing for and making dried flower arrangements
Come for lunch or snack to fuel your shopping as delicious farm-fresh ready-to-eat items will be available, including:
• Local, Seasonal Gumbo from Ariel’s Restaurant
